I’m severely underweight weight with my BMI being 16 something, in 5’7”, 27 years old, I’ve been struggling to gain weight past 6 years, almost tried everything, will taking TRT or a similar therapy help me gain good weight?
Struggling to gain weight for several years isn’t something to ignore. Rather than jumping straight to TRT, it’s important to look at the bigger picture—your hormones, thyroid function, digestive health, diet, activity levels, and overall metabolic health. Once the cause is identified, it’s much easier to create a plan that helps you gain healthy weight safely and sustainably.
If I had to pick one for most people, I’d say 10,000 steps. It’s sustainable, low impact, and delivers huge health benefits. If you can add some higher-intensity exercise a few times a week on top of that, even better. However, intense cardio can improve fitness and cardiovascular capacity when done safely. The best results usually come from combining both with strength training and good nutrition.
