One of the reasons GLP-1 treatments can be effective for weight management is that they can change hunger, appetite and feelings of fullness.
But there’s an interesting side to this:
What happens when you’re simply not that hungry?
Eating less can make it harder to consistently get enough:
Protein
Nutrients
Fluids
Overall energy
And if you’re trying to lose fat while maintaining muscle, what you eat still matters.
That means your approach may need to change.
Instead of asking:
“How little can I eat?”
A better question can be:
“How can I make the food I do eat count?”
That could mean prioritising protein-rich foods, nutrient-dense meals and appropriate resistance training.
Let’s talk
For anyone using a GLP-1:
What’s been the biggest change in your relationship with food since starting?
Smaller portions
More focus on protein
Fewer cravings
Different meal patterns
Certain foods are harder to tolerate
Something else?
