When appetite decreases, food isn’t the only thing that can change.
Some people also notice changes in energy, motivation, recovery or training performance.
That doesn’t mean you should stop exercising.
Instead, your training may need to be adjusted to how you’re actually feeling.
A good programme isn’t necessarily the hardest programme.
It’s one you can recover from and consistently progress with.
A few things to consider:
Keep resistance training in your routine.
Progress gradually rather than chasing exhaustion.
Prioritise adequate protein and nutrition.
Pay attention to hydration.
Give recovery the attention it deserves.
Speak to your clinical team if you’re experiencing concerning symptoms.
